The Boise State Broncos are the most widely followed sports team in the Boise area. When it’s game day in Boise there is unparalleled excitement throughout the city. Game day in Boise is a big deal.

The Broncos play at the 33,500 seat Bronco Stadium located at Boise State University. Most Bronco home games are sold out or near capacity. Those without a ticket are often at home watching the game with family and friends or enjoying the massive tailgate party outside the stadium. Many fans bring portable generators, televisions and satellite receivers so that those without tickets can enjoy the game.

The Broncos play as part of the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) and are members of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). All Bronco home games are televised and several games each season are nationally broadcast on ESPN.

Idaho Steelheads Qwest ArenaHockey - Idaho Steelheads

Steelheads hockey offers everything you would expect from a professional hockey franchise. Fast paced action, structured plays, impressive goalkeeping, bone crunching body checks and, of course, hockey fights. Steelheads games are typically held on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The best crowds are found on weekends.

The Idaho Steelheads are an ECHL professional hockey team and an AA affiliate of the NHL Dallas Stars. The Steelheads are the ECHL Kelley Cup Champions in the 2003-2004 and 2006-2007 seasons. The ECHL is a twenty team, nationwide league.

The Steelheads play in downtown Boise in the 5,000 seat Qwest Arena. The Qwest arena is a complete, full service venue and the environment is safe and very family friendly. Tickets range from $9.00 to $32.50. Hot dogs, pizza, subs, ice cream, popcorn, soda, candy and many other goodies are available. Beer, wine and mixed drinks are served.

Boise Hawks StadiumBaseball - Boise Hawks

There's nothing like enjoying a relaxing day of summertime baseball and the Boise Hawks don't disappoint.

The Boise Hawks play in the 3,500 seat Memorial Stadium located on the banks of the Boise River. Full concessions are offered including hot dogs, hamburgers, fries, popcorn, soda, candy and of course peanuts and cracker jacks. In addition to watching the game, kids can also have fun in the Kid's Park down the right field line where a bounce house, obstacle course, speed pitch and a whiffle ball park provide for a truly fun filled afternoon. There are also plenty of fireworks nights to enjoy.

The Boise Hawks are a farm team for the Chicago Cubs and compete in the class A Northwest League of Professional Baseball. Notable former players from the league include Reggie Jackson, Ozzie Smith and Tony Gwynn. The Boise Hawks are six time league champions. The franchise was formed in 1987.

Idaho Stampede Qwest ArenaBasketball - Idaho Stampede

The Idaho Stampede are part of the NBA Development League and are affiliated with the Portland Trailblazers and the Denver Nuggets. The Stampede are the Western Division champions for the 2005-2006 season and League champions for the 2007-2008 season. The team was founded in 1997.

The Idaho Stampede is serious basketball. In the 2006-2007 season thirty-five former Development League players were on the NBA opening day roster. The NBA development league consists of sixteen teams and functions as a true minor league farm system for the NBA.

The Idaho Stampede play in downtown Boise Idaho at the 5,000 seat Qwest arena. In addition to traditional stadium seating the venue also provides for substantial courtside seating, surrounding floor table seating as well as play areas and ball and hoop games for the kids.
